I was accepted to yet another illustration blog, monday artday. Every Monday, they offer a challenge and the first one I did is this week’s - “Join Us”.

They have a lot of puppies and flowers and children playing and smiley faces.
I hope they don’t kick me out.
Let me know what you think.

Here is my drawing for the SFG challenge - angels and demons.

I was recently accepted as a member of the blog sugarfrostedgoodness.com, an illustration site for…well… illustrators. In addition to showcasing artists from all over the world, SFG hosts a weekly challenge. They suggest a character or theme and participats have from Thursday to Thursday to complete and post their “answer” drawing. This week’s topic is fairy tale. I considered several, some of which I may even do at a later date. But, I settled on Little Red Riding Hood.
Enjoy….

Here is a drawing that I did a few months ago, but I never got around to posting it. In between website challenges, I’ll do a drawing on my own. Usually, it is a subject I just want to draw. Here is a character inspired by Schlitzie from the 1932 movie Freaks.

This week, illustrationfriday.com has an unusual word…. “citrus”
This first thought that came to me was Carmen Miranda, she of “fruit-basket-on-her-head” fame.
So, here, with my Carmen Miranda inspiration, is my submission for this week.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

This week’s illustrationfriday.com word is “neighbor”.
Here is my entry…

Sometimes, I wonder what goes on in my neighbor’s yard.
Sometimes, I’m sure they wonder what goes on in my yard.
