Hey Josh! Great illustration of the honeymoon “continental breakfast”. Great story as well! I love stopping by your blog. You are always entertaining. … A quick breakfast story.: Mom and dad took all seven of us camping one year. My younger brother Matt,(the klutz) broke a bottle of syrup at the breakfast table. We were soon surrounded by a mob of interested yellow jackets. We all got stung at least twice. I got it in the elbow and in the butt!

I’m starving (it is close to dinner time here) and loved your nostalgic roam from one eaterie to the next. I still find I have to have something to read at breakfast and that’s all a result of those years with the Cheerio box (my cereal of choice). Have a good weekend.

Nice writing. Your St. Augustine hotel buffet story is classic. You only get those kinds of stories from driving on long road trips. I don’t know why, but it reminds me of a diner my family went to in Utah where a neon-lit sign read “Ho-Made Pies.” Being a teenager I thought it was very funny at the time.

Oh, and the drawing really captures the essence of your story well.
