IF: strings (part 2)
The illustrationfriday.com challenge word this week is “strings”. This is the second of two illustrations I did for the subject. The first can be seen HERE.
I found two great (and unrelated) quotes for “strings”, so I decided to illustrate both.

“Most men, no matter how well or badly dressed, carry overstuffed, beat up wallets that should have been replaced years ago. Why is that every time I see a guy take out a wallet anywhere, it looks like a piece of old melted chocolate cake-with strings.”
— Jonathan Carroll, author

It’s true! Our wallets have sentimental value. There’s more than just cash, credit and member cards, driver’s license and photos of the family in our wallets.
In my case, I keep using mine because it was one of the last gifts given to me by my grandmother before she died.
I’m quite proud of my beat-up, worn-out wallet.

That’s funny…my wallet actually is made of chocolate cake and string.

A rather interesting interpretation of melted chocolate cake … it looks more like sheep entrails to me, but who am I to judge?

Nice take…I get attacked all of the time for just cramming money into my pockets and never using my wallet…so it stays in pretty good shape in the front seat of my car…so then I have to hear about how someone is going to break in and steal it…
